Minimum Qualifications (Except Bachelor of Pharmacy)

Brac University accepts students from local and international education systems.

SSC/HSC (Bangladesh Curriculum)
  • Minimum GPA 3.5 in both SSC and HSC.
O-Level and A-Level
  • O-Level: Minimum GPA 2.5 with 5 subjects
  • A-Level: Minimum GPA 2.5 with 2 subjects
  • Grading scale: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2
International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Minimum IB-DP score of 24
Program-Specific Eligibility Requirements
CSE, EEE, ECE, APE, Physics
  • HSC: B in Physics and Mathematics
  • A-Level: C in Physics and Mathematics
  • IB: Math (HL/SL 5) and Physics (HL/SL 5)
Computer Science and Mathematics
  • HSC: B in Mathematics
  • A-Level: C in Mathematics
Biotechnology & Microbiology
  • Minimum C in Biology and Chemistry
  • No Mathematics → Must complete remedial Math
  • IB: Biology and Chemistry (HL/SL 5)
EEE & ECE (No Chemistry background)
  • Must take remedial Chemistry

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma
    are eligible to apply.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – Admission Requirements
Minimum Academic Requirements
  • Combined GPA 8.0 out of 10
  • No grade less than 3.50 in SSC and HSC
  • Chemistry & Biology: Minimum GPA 3.5
  • Mathematics & Physics: Minimum GPA 3.0
  • O/A-Level:
    • Chemistry and Biology: B
    • Math and Physics: C
Other Requirements
  • Missing Math → Must take extra 3-credit Math course
  • Must apply within 3 years of HSC
  • Foreign students must obtain Pharmacy Council equivalence
  • IB-DP: 24 points with BIO and CHE (HL/SL 5), PHY (HL/SL 4)

Visiting / Guest Students
  • Require transcript + NOC
  • No admission test required
  • Max 2 courses per semester
  • Max 8 courses total
