The four-day European Film Festival 2025, showcasing a vibrant selection of films from Europe and Bangladesh, concluded today with special closing screenings at the Brac University Auditorium.

The final day began at 4:30 pm with screenings of three shortlisted entries from the Mobile Short Film Competition, highlighting the creativity of young and emerging filmmakers.

The festival wrapped up with the final screening of Primadonna: The Girl from Tomorrow (Italy) at 5:00 pm.

EU Ambassador Delivers Closing Remarks

Michael Miller, Ambassador of the European Union to Bangladesh, delivered the concluding speech, expressing gratitude to all partners and audiences for making the festival an engaging and successful cultural event.

Four Days of Diverse Cinema Across Multiple Venues

Since its opening on December 4 at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy Auditorium, the festival has drawn enthusiastic crowds across multiple venues in Dhaka and Mymensingh.

Over four days, audiences enjoyed a rich mix of European and Bangladeshi films screened at:

  • Alliance Française de Dhaka
  • Goethe-Institut Bangladesh
  • Tareq Memorial Auditorium

Screenings featured Bangladeshi titles such as Foul and Nishi, alongside acclaimed European films including:

  • Transit (Germany)
  • Gallant Indies (France)
  • January (Latvia)
  • Warboy (Romania)
  • My Wonderful Life (Poland)
  • Foscadh (Ireland)

All regular screenings were open to the public on a first-come, first-seated basis.

Organized with support from the European Union, the festival aimed to promote cross-cultural dialogue and cinematic exchange.
