
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) and North South University (NSU) to enhance investment education opportunities for university students.
Under the agreement, NSU students will be able to easily participate in BICM’s basic workshops on investment education and enjoy special discounts on registration fees for various certificate courses offered by the institute.
The MoU was signed by BICM Executive President Wajid Hasan Shah and NSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury on behalf of their respective institutions at a simple ceremony held at the NSU campus on Monday evening (November 10).
As part of the collaboration, BICM will also assist NSU’s School of Business and Economics in developing investment-friendly curricula and provide expert advice on relevant academic and professional matters.
Among others present at the signing ceremony were NSU Registrar Dr. Ahmed Tajmin, Dean of the School of Business and Economics Professor Dr. AKM Warsul Karim, Associate Professor and Director (Admissions) Dr. Nurul Kabir, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance Dr. FJ Mohaimen, Assistant Professor and Director (External Affairs) Cynthia McKinney, and Assistant Professor Kashfia Sharmin and Lecturer Faima Akhter from BICM. Faculty members from various departments of the School of Business and Economics also attended the event.
