East West University Signs MoU with Beximco Pharmaceuticals to Boost Research and Healthcare Innovation
On 15 February 2026, East West University (EWU) marked a major step in industry–academia collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beximco Pharmaceuticals PLC. This partnership aims to strengthen pharmaceutical research, innovation and healthcare development in Bangladesh.

Distinguished Attendees Highlight Institutional Commitment
Signing ceremony was graced by Professor Shams Rahman, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of EWU, along with Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Dean of the EWU Faculty of Science and Engineering.
From Beximco Pharmaceuticals PLC, Mr. Rabbur Reza, Chief Operating Officer, attended, joined by Rezvi Ul Kabir, Director of Marketing, and Dr. Alimur Reza, Head of Medical Affairs. Several EWU alumni currently working at Beximco also participated, reflecting the strong ties between the university and the pharmaceutical leader.
Promoting Joint Research and Innovation
MoU was signed under a collaborative project initiative focused on innovative healthcare and pharmaceutical services. Key project members present included:
