An awareness session titled “Immunization for All” was held by the Brac University School of Pharmacy to mark World Immunization Week 2026, underscoring the vital role of vaccines in protecting public health.

Renowned singer and filmmaker Ferdous Wahid attended as a special guest. Faculty members, students and invited participants engaged in discussions highlighting how immunization contributes to building a healthier, disease-free society.

Keynote speech was delivered by professor Abdus Shakur Khan of Anwar Khan Modern Medical College, who is also associated with the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology and Bangladesh Lung Foundation. He emphasized the importance of timely vaccination in preventing infectious diseases and improving overall public health.

Program concluded with closing remarks from Lucky Sinha of Synovia Pharma PLC, who thanked the participants and encouraged students to continue advocating for vaccination awareness and timely immunization.

Event took place on April 30 and brought together senior Brac University School of Pharmacy officials, including pro vice chancellor and dean Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury, department chair Sharmind Nilotpol; and registrar and controller of examinations David Dowland.
