Department of Architecture at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully organized its Final Year Jury, titled “Design Dialogue,” for the Fall 2025–26 semester on 28–29 January 2026 at the AIUB campus in Dhaka.

This two-day academic event provided a major platform for architectural education in Bangladesh, where graduating architecture students presented their thesis projects before a distinguished panel of jurors consisting of leading academicians and professional architects from top universities and design practices.

Sessions were attended by the Head of the Department of Architecture, Ar. Arefeen Ibrahim, alongside invited jurors including Dr. Zainab Faruqui Ali, Chairperson of Architecture at Brac University; Professor Fuad H. Mallik, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Brac University; faculty members from University of Asia Pacific and renowned practicing architects and structural engineers from the industry.

Final Year Jury at AIUB Architecture emphasized critical design thinking, sustainable architecture, urban context, and professional readiness. External jurors engaged students in rigorous discussions, evaluating projects on innovation, feasibility, environmental responsiveness, and social impact — key themes shaping contemporary architecture in Bangladesh.

Course was conducted by Senior Associate Professor Ashik Vaskor Mannan with Bayejid Mahbub Khondker as guest teacher, guiding students through an intensive thesis process focused on architectural clarity and contextual design solutions.
