Okayama Shoka University and East West University Sign MoU for Student Exchange Program
Okayama Shoka University, Japan and East West University, Bangladesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a student exchange program. The agreement aims to strengthen educational collaboration and cultural exchange between Japan and Bangladesh.
The signing ceremony was attended by President Professor Akio Ijiri of Okayama Shoka University, Vice-Chancellor Asiq Mosaddiq of East West University, and Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Md. Daud Ali, who described the MoU as a significant step for bilateral educational and diplomatic relations.

Okayama Shoka University currently partners with 60 universities in China and 3 universities in South Korea and is expanding collaborations in Vietnam and Thailand. Under the new MoU, students from East West University will have the opportunity to study in Japan during their third and fourth years, fostering academic growth and enhancing employment opportunities for Bangladeshi graduates in Japan.
The MoU also encourages joint research projects, cultural cooperation and broader international education initiatives between the two universities.
