ASU Launches ASU London: A New U.K.-Accredited University Offering Global Pathways
Arizona State University (ASU) is expanding its international presence with the launch of ASU London, a new U.K.-accredited higher education institution designed to offer global, career-focused degrees in the heart of London. The initiative builds on the success of TEDI-London (The Engineering & Design Institute London)—co-created by ASU in 2020—and introduces new programs that blend British academic traditions with ASU’s innovative, hands-on approach to learning.

Accelerated Degrees with Global Career Advantage
ASU London’s first degree pathways combine a three-year U.K. bachelor’s degree with an accelerated, one-year master’s degree from Arizona State University. This allows students to earn two international degrees in just four years, reducing tuition costs and offering a fast track to professional advancement.
Project-Based Learning in Engineering, Business, and Technology
The new institution integrates TEDI-London’s project-focused engineering model with additional programs in:
- Business Management
- Computer Science
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
These programs are co-designed by experts from the U.S., the U.K., and industry partners to provide real-world, practical learning experiences. Students gain hands-on skills on day one, working on themes such as sustainability, smart cities, design, and emerging technologies.
Leadership Perspective: Preparing Global Problem-Solvers
ASU President Michael M. Crow emphasized that ASU London represents a powerful opportunity for students seeking an international education.
“ASU London helps students become master problem-solvers who can succeed in the evolving global economy.”
He added that the model merges the strengths of British higher education with American innovation, all within one of the world’s most influential cities.
Industry-Connected Learning in Central London
Formally known as the ASU London Centre for Advanced Learning, the institution offers:
- A central London location
- U.K.-based faculty collaborating with ASU faculty
- Access to global industry networks
- Immersion in one of the world’s most culturally dynamic cities
Professor Sir Malcolm Grant noted that students learn “as professionals in training,” developing technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills sought by employers worldwide.
Not a Branch Campus—An Independent U.K. Institution
ASU London is not an overseas branch of ASU. Instead, it operates as an independent, U.K.-accredited institution developed in partnership with Cintana Education. It expands opportunities for the 330,000 learners across the ASU–Cintana Alliance and adds a new study-abroad destination for ASU students.
Expansion, Events, and Future Opportunities
ASU London will soon relocate to a dedicated space at the Clerkenwell campus of City, St. George’s, University of London, providing a vibrant academic environment. Launch events are planned for the fall.
ASU is also set to make headlines in 2026 when it plays the University of Kansas in the Union Jack Classic at Wembley Stadium.
Provost Nancy Gonzales noted that ASU London supports ASU’s mission to prepare students as global citizens:
“By embedding students in the heart of London and offering pathways to high-demand master’s degrees, ASU London creates a unique opportunity for learners worldwide.”
