Brac Bank organized the “TARA Uddokta 101 Scale-Up Summit” at Brac University on May 13, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening women-led enterprises in Bangladesh.

Summit highlighted the success and future expansion plans of “Uddokta 101”, a flagship accelerator program under Brac Bank’s women banking platform, TARA. Since its launch in 2021, the initiative has empowered more than 500 women entrepreneurs from universities across the country through training in business management, financial literacy, digital adoption, and market readiness.

Program is being implemented in partnership with Brac University, East West University, Daffodil International University and Chittagong Independent University creating stronger collaboration between academia and industry to support scalable women-led businesses.

Day-long event featured panel discussions, networking sessions, impact assessments, and strategic conversations on the future of women entrepreneurship development in Bangladesh. Program outcomes demonstrated notable progress among participants in areas such as business formalization, financial discipline, market expansion and technology adoption.

Among the distinguished attendees were Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury, Mohammed Farashuddin, Shams Rahman, M R Kabir and M M Nurul Absar.

Speaking at the summit, Tareq Refat Ullah Khan said the programme reflects Brac Bank’s long-term vision of advancing women’s economic participation and expanding entrepreneurship development across Bangladesh through stronger industry-academia collaboration.

Event concluded with recognition of partner universities and contributors, alongside a renewed commitment to scaling up the initiative nationwide to better serve aspiring women entrepreneurs at the grassroots level.
