EWU Law Department Wins NUEB LMC National Moot Court Competition 2025 Championship

Department of Law, East West University (EWU), has achieved a landmark victory by becoming the Champion of the NUEB LMC National Moot Court Competition 2025, titled “Verdict Vista: The Law Olympiad 1.0.” The prestigious national competition was organized by the NEUB Law and Moot Court Club (NEUBLMCC) of North East University Bangladesh and held on 21–22 November 2025 in Sylhet.

Winning EWU team consisted of Shagufta Chowdhury Adrita (Oralist), Md. Salmun Alam (Oralist) and Abdur Rahman Jobair (Researcher). Through intensive preparation, exceptional legal advocacy, and high-quality legal research, the team demonstrated outstanding professionalism and consistency, securing the championship title among top competing universities.

In the Grand Finale, East West University defeated the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), who became the Runner-up, marking this victory as one of the most significant achievements in EWU’s moot court history.

This championship completes a remarkable hat-trick of national moot court victories for EWU Law in 2025. Overall, the department has now won four major national titles in a single year:

  • Three National Moot Court Competition Championships
  • One National Law Olympiad Championship

These achievements strongly position East West University’s Department of Law as a leading institution for moot court excellence and legal education in Bangladesh.
